Oh well, I tried but I feel like I've hit a wall.
For those who love to Automate their homes, you may have multiple Home network speakers and lightbulbs and those amazing cameras, nice. For those thinking about it, this will help.
Our situation was we were spending money every month on a monitored alarm system which made little sense as technology got better.
The old system worked like this:?
There are many other scenarios that also play out if they don't get a response from us, which will mean they will get NZ Fire to send an appliance immediately.?Good feature.
However, when you have four people connected to a network which creates an alert from a camera or smoke detector, you have most situations covered.
Nest Protect will tell you what's smoking and where and the cameras will tell you who's at your place and you will be able to hear them through your Camera and talk to them through your speaker network. No more call-out fees for someone to walk around the home doing a visual check.
The camera system using Google Doorbell and the nest cameras are great unless you're using a Samsung phone.

Researching my Samsung Google issues, lead to reading many online questions and comments on the various community pages. There are people who think this is a Google issue.? I've tested the Google interface on Samsung, Oneplus, and iPhone, and the only one that doesn't play nice is the Samsung.
The user interface is where we judge the experience, this dictates how much time we will use a device to get what we want.?If we get what we want fast, we will keep using it, if it takes too long, we won't and we'll do something else.
This is why I'm posting this.?The Home Automation market is growing and in 5 years it will have grown from $45B to $114B* and this Xmas there will be tech-heads wanting to upgrade their homes with Home Automation for themselves or for their loved ones, for better security.
There are lots of angry Samsung people blaming Google for a bad experience and as I said above, I’m not sure it’s a Google problem.?The interface is great on the other 2 manufacturers' devices I own, one on Android and the other on IOS.
You get a far better experience on other Phones as Samsung misses out on all the good features that come with Google home Automation with Nest Aware.?You can still use Samsung with your Google home Automation, as I do.?Just without some of the easy-to-use video history and talkback modes and management.
Hey Santa, if you're reading this.?Pixel 6 please for the NZ market.?I'm picking that will Rock the Google experience.

2 年Funny thing happened after this post was made. My Samsung is now able to talk to people on the live camera feed and I can now see full history on a sliding timeline. Timing is a wonderful thing!
