Sample and inventory tracking for laboratories
Chemical Inventory Management in the Lab
It’s always the same questions that arise during the planning and execution of laboratory experiments: Which chemicals are on hand in the laboratory and where can they be located?
Keeping an up-to-date overlook over the lab's inventory is still ab big challenge in today's laboratories. And yet there are solutions that require only a moderate investment and a minimal onboarding time for the lab's team members.

Label printing from electronic lab notebooks
Electronic lab notebooks, also known as ELNs are a formidable tool to plan and document online the experiments that are carried out in the lab. They make it very ease to record experiment results and share protocols among team members.
In order to make experiments fully reproducible it is inevitable to identify and track the samples and reagents that are used or obtained in the experiments. A very convenient and reliable way to bridge the gap between the digital ELN and physically stored vials, tubes and containers by printing labels with a QR code directly from the ELN.
One ELN, popular among researchers in universities and biotech companies, is called eLabJournal (from eLabNext). It features a marketplace with many add-ons that help ease the work in the lab. Last month an update was released for the FLUICS PRINT add-on that adds bulk printing and copies to this "headache-free label printing experience".
