Sam Walton's Recession Proof Mindset

Sam Walton's Recession Proof Mindset

If you’re an entrepreneur, you may want to follow Sam Walton’s lead (founder of Walmart).

When asked about the recession in 1991 Walton said, “I’ve thought about it, but I’ve chosen not to participate in it.”

Now while these are certainly challenging times, I hope you realize that you still have a choice on how you can decide to move forward towards the future.

Because no matter how good or bad the economic times are, you will always find somebody who’s thriving, even if something as bad as a pandemic shifts the entire world. The same can go for you.

If you can accept responsibility for your own personal economy, by working hard and doing whatever you have to do to not only survive, but to flourish - you can deservedly be on the better side of things.

Just don’t wait to get inspired...

Start creating your own motivation and inspiration.

How you ask?

You can start by finding and talking to like-minded people that will get you thinking the same way they do.

And if you haven’t found them yet, read some insightful books.

Sounds boring I know, but if you really think about it, reading books grants you access to a lifetime of knowledge that successful people have condensed into 300 pages for you to steal ideas from.

Because who you associate yourself with and what you read are all great sources of inspiration to grow and develop.

And if one quote by Sam Walton is enough to spark your fire for just a bit, imagine what reading one book would do.

So whether it’s inspiration to action or action to inspiration that works for you, what is most important is to find out what helps you get to where you want to go.

Because a positive self-image is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

Have you found a mentor? If not, what books are you reading? Let me know!
