The Salvation Army & The Warehouse Group Gala Dinner

It was an absolute privilege to attend the Warehouse Group Gala Dinner late last week, where we helped raise $600,000 for the Salvation Army and The Parenting Place's new Breakthrough programme.

The dinner was attended by approximately 1500 people, representing most of the Warehouse’s key suppliers throughout New Zealand.

The Warehouse Group, like OCS, has a vision to help communities throughout New Zealand flourish, and to contribute to a more sustainable country and planet. The dinner is an annual highlight of that community programme.

Warehouse founder, Sir Stephen Tindall emphasized the need for suppliers like us to have the right technology and innovation, and to think outside the square.

Sir Stephen has always supported making New Zealand stronger, whether that’s through community or business and the help he’s give thousands of kiwis through his Tindall Foundation is immeasurable.

Over the last few years, the Warehouse Group has supported the Salvation Army Aspire programme, which works with more than 500 young people and their families across a number of communities.

At OCS we are proud to support the Salvation Army – a relationship formed last year. In the last couple of weeks have raised over $13,000 for the charity while we handed over a cheque for over $15,000 last year, and donated 4000 products, most of them personal items like deodorant, stockings and shampoo.

Every year an estimated 68,000 New Zealand children and their families rely on the Salvation Army for basic needs such as food, clothing and household goods,
