I am huge fan of the Salvation Army Harbor Light and the good work they do in the Downtown Vancouver East Side. For decades many of my friends have contributed their time and money to help me at Christmas in supporting their important ongoing initiatives. The 45th Annual Sing A Long was held a couple of months ago on December 23rd, but sometimes there is a lag time in collecting all the funds. Today I was joined by our illustrious, and oh so shy Choir Master, Ray MacDonald to drop off the “last” of the funds we brought in. This past Christmas we had a banner year and surpassed over $19,000 raised. This is a picture of Ray and I presenting Jim Coggles the Executive Director of the Salvation Army with the loot earlier today. Special shout out to Dave Markham, who also always plays a huge role in our fundraising.
