I feel very privileged and happy to announce that I have accepted a position with the Salvation Army in South Australia with the primary goal of building mutually beneficial Philanthropic relationships to the Salvation Army here in the state!
I have been very passionate over the years in linking South Australians in business together to help them become more successful, which in turn helps our state. I am very excited that I can now use the networks I have built up while being in business in South Australia to help raise funds for people in need, in our state and across Australia.
The Salvation Army in our state does amazing work helping those in need with key focusses in:
- Disaster Relief – Strategic Disaster Management (100% of every dollar raised is directed to relief efforts)
- Homelessness including family and domestic violence
- Recovery from alcohol, drugs and other addictions
- Community engagement
With the current fire disasters across Australia the Salvation Army has so far:
- Been active at 160 locations across the country
- Served more than 125,000 meals to firefighters, emergency workers, evacuees and community members
- Distributed personal care packs, bedding and cash grants to those who have been affected
- Raised over $10,000,000 alone for the current disaster relief
