GL events group, a global player in the event industry has big plans for Brazil! The story started as early as 2006 followed by the successful openings of major event venues in the country including Riocentro , Jeunesse Arena and Sao Paulo Expo - all major event destinations in Latin America. On January 23rd, 2020 Salvador Convention Center, built by Salvador's City Hall, was inaugurated and GL events Brazil awarded a 25 years management concession in exchange of R$50 Million in investments during the same period.

The venue is expected to host over 100 events per year, with already 20 events confirmed on opening date. More than 500 thousand attendees and visitors are expected at Salvador Convention Center thanks to the versatility of the venue, its unique location and outdoor facility facing Bahia's ocean & beach front. Salvador destination will allow tourists and visitors to have a very rich Brazilian experiences through history, architecture, gastronomy and natural wonders. In term of infrastructure, Bahia offers 20,000+ rooms as far as hotel capacity and an international airport operated by Vinci Airports, Salvador Airport with a capacity for 12 million passengers per year.

The brand-new convention center includes a 21,000 sq.m. functional building and a 5,580 sq.m. outdoor space with a capacity to host up to 20,000 attendees. Extensive parking area-1,480 parking spots, over 40 meeting rooms ranging from 50 to 7,00 pax, 8 multi-purpose halls, a restaurant and other seafront facilities are all key to offering International and Latin American MICE professionals an attractive solution to bring their events in one of the most beautiful and visited Brazilian city.
