Salutations to my Gurus - on Teachers' Day!
Dr. Krishna Prasad
Leadership Coach (ACC) & Consulting - Enabling Personal and Organizational Transformation
In our childhood I recall, somehow teacher's day celebration was restricted to our schools. We would greet and wish our teachers on this day. But now as life-long learners, we encounter our "gurus" almost anywhere and everywhere. I think they come in several hundred forms for our benefit - parents, spouse, children, family members, friends, bosses, colleagues, even just strangers.
Many times I could recognize that somebody is teaching me and this is the easy part ("Pratyaksha"). However most often, when we reflect upon certain events and situations, only on hind sight, I realized that others taught me something valuable. These are Indirect teachers ("Paroksha")
The biggest teacher of all however I believe is "Time". Time has the power to teach some really big and powerful lessons.
On this day recognized as Teacher's day, I wish to salute all those teachers in my life. Thank you for pushing me to learn.
