We have added some more Disco Fuentes gold to Pop-Up Music. This playlist is Salsa-focused.
Last year I was very fortunate to take part in the Colombia Sync Market trip to Medellín. Part of the trip was a pilgrimage to the Disco Fuentes HQ, where we were given a grand tour by Jose, the manager, who provided a rich history of the label. I particularly enjoyed hearing about the Christmas record legacy that Disco Fuentes has cultivated over the years.
On my return to London, I had the pleasure of seeing a Disco Fuentes legend play live at the Jazz Cafe - Fruko. It was an incredible experience, especially witnessing his hypnotic bass lines in action.
