Actor Salman Khan who has grabbed several acres land in Panvel in collusion with forest officials has allegedly blocked the way to Ganesh Temple, constructed by another plot owner, by illegally setting up a gate in front of the temple.

Salman Khan has also been harassing the owner Ketan Kakkad, who owns 2.1/2 acre land on the mountain top above Salman’s “Arpita Farms”. Salman has also been allegedly preventing MSEB employees from supplying electricity to Kakkad’s small home as well as the Ganesh temple, although he has paid the deposit of Rs 1317/- as per rules. Besides, the MSEB has also allotted him the consumer No. 032908888889/1. Yet the Kakkad family remains without electricity. Eventually Lord Ganesh also remains in the dark.

Kakkad, basically an NRI from the USA, had purchased the plot in 1996. Ketan Kakkad and his wife Anita shifted to Mumbai from America seven years ago. They wanted to construct a bungalow on their plot. The couple alleged that earlier Salman Khan used to play a good neighbour whenever he visited his farmhouse. But when he got the inkling that they are in the process of constructing a bungalow on their plot, his mannerisms changed and he began playing a spoiled brat.

Salman Khan has allegedly grabbed a sizable portion of 150-300 acres of forest land in collusion with some corrupt forest officials and has constructed 19 bungalows and three stables for his horses. These stables have been provided with flood lights, whereas the small Ganesh temple is being deprived of electricity.

In fact the forest department had served a notice dated 20 November 2017 on Salim Abdul Rashid Khan (Salman’s father) to remove the unauthorized structure in his property and had instructed to use the land only as per the pre-conditions laid down, the unauthorized constructions are yet to be removed and they remain as they were.

The Kakkad family had approached the then forest minister seeking his help in the matter. He promised to take legal action against the actor but nothing happened.

In response to a petition by BJP office bearer Arjun Gupta dated 10 November 2020, to the President Ram Nath Kovind, the President’s office directed the Union Home Secretary and Maharashtra Chief Secretary to immediately look into the matter and resolve the dispute. Yet the matters remain unresolved. Kakkad has also written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. However these leaders who came to power riding on Hindu band wagon, prefer to protect Salman and have no concern for the Hindu Kakkad family.

Kakkad family lawyer Senior Adv. Abha Singh says that Salman Khan's family is very influential and therefore they are looted of their mountain top 2.5 acres plots which is above Salman Khan's Arpita Farms. The family is also tortured & terrorised by blocking their access road, electricity and water supply. They are looted of their basic fundamental and human rights by misuse of government machinery, influence, money, Power, muscle & mafigiri.

Salim Khan told the media, "Right now, it's an allegation. We will speak at the right time."

Salman's Panvel farmhouse comes under the eco-sensitive zone, which restricts them for certain actions, like further constructions. The law, that prohibits constructions of more infrastructure, stood broken by the star's family as there have been nine new alleged constructions on the same land.

Meanwhile, Wajpur's forest officer Sunil S. Kapse, who had issued the notice to the Khans, has been 'shifted out' of his jurisdiction. He has challenged the transfer.
