It’s hard to believe we’re heading into November already but it’s that time of year when we start thinking about all those people who are much less privileged and the charities that we may be able to help as we approach Christmas.
There are so many wonderful local charities who are all equally deserving of support, howeve we have to select a couple each year that resonate with our team and we can really make a difference to.
This year we’ll be holding a Christmas toy drive for Child Advocates of Fort Bend and also a Holiday food drive for East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry along with an additional cash donation going to Child Advocates.
The East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry has been serving families in need in the county since 1975 when the resale shop opened its doors. Their mission now is to help those families experiencing food insecurity or those in a temporary financial crisis through their food pantry and financial assistance programs.
Child Advocates of Fort Bend began in 1991 when a group of people got together to bring about vital change and end the cycle of child abuse and neglect. What started out serving one child, now serves over 3,500 children and families each year - a critical and transformational service for victims that relies purely on the generosity of donations.

If you want to donate and make a difference to the children and families supported by these wonderful charities, any donation of food or toys is appreciated, however small. Those food items most in need by the Human Needs Ministry can be found here and the Child Advocates 2022 Toy Wish List has suggestions for toys by age group and a list for those children with special and sensory needs.
