SalesforceBen.com: 2016 In Review

2016 has been an eventful year for the world, the Salesforce industry & for SalesforceBen.com. We've seen countless celebrity deaths, a plethora of acquisitions under Salesforce's belt and huge growth over here at SFB. I've never written a yearly review post before, but I thought it would be nice to reflect on the year, thank everyone that has contributed, and also ask for feedback about how we can improve in the future.

I'm also very glad to announce that while writing this article, I discovered SFB surpassed 1,000,000 hits in December 2016!

Key Statistics

After diving into the statistics of 2016 I was astounded at some of the growth compared to the previous period of 2015. SFB is currently accessed from 192/196 countries in the world with USA being most popular, following with India, UK & Australia. Aside from the statistics, this year SFB Members has been launched to help professionals get certified quicker than ever with mock exams. We have also started a new initiative not only to post guides & tutorials, but to focus on the broader picture with career guidance and the latest industry news. You can see some of the amazing statistics below..

Guest Posters

As mentioned above, we have doubled our guest posters which is a huge reason why the growth numbers are so staggering. SFB pivoted some time ago to move away from being a personal blog, and focus more on publishing as much great content as possible without compromising on quality. This has resulted in so many great posts from different members of the Salesforce community from all over the world.

I'm sure that I'm not the first to say this, but thank you to everyone who has been a guest on SFB. Every single bit of content is read by 100's, or in some cases 1000's of people that are benefitting from you imparting your hard earned knowledge. SFB gets so many emails each week thanking us for the content, I just wish I knew who it was directed at so I could forward them to the relevant blogger!

In particular, I would like to thank the following people for their amazing quality contributions in 2016, Ines Garcia, Lucy Mazalon, Jennifer Laing, Matt Wade, Eric Dreshfield & Sana Tarique.

Looking Forward & Feedback

I'm really looking forward to 2017 for so many reasons, but primarily to continue the amazing growth we've seen and to implement more ideas in the pipeline to help the Salesforce community. We're looking to onboard even more bloggers from around the globe and really support them in getting their ideas out so they can be heard.

We're looking to expand into more areas and work on the design and features of the site to ensure we keep up with the wants and needs of the industry. For this to happen we're looking to hear from you, we would like to hear your feedback about what you like about the site, what you dislike, would would you like to see more of?

Feel free to comment on this article, contact me via LinkedIn or email at [email protected].

It's been an incredible year and I can't wait to see what the future brings.
