In the rapidly evolving digital world, the demand for tech talent is soaring. Amidst this surge, a looming tech talent shortage is predicted by 2026, as per the NASSCOM Report 2022. The IDC Report 2021 further forecasts a staggering 1.3 million job opportunities in India’s Salesforce economy by the same year. In response to this impending talent gap, the Salesforce supported Virtual Internship Program (VIP) has emerged as a guiding light.
The VIP, a brainchild of TheSmartBridge supported by Salesforce , was launched with a clear vision: to provide students with virtual internships that enhance their skills, apply theoretical knowledge practically, and seamlessly integrate them into the Salesforce community. This initiative was unveiled by the Honorable Minister of Education, Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan Ji, on 22nd March 2022, in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) The VIP is also an integral part of the National Education Policy #NEP implementation, aimed at equipping students with hands-on training insights.
The VIP journey is marked by interactive sessions and expert interactions, offering invaluable real-life insights and maximizing learning opportunities. The program’s success is attributed to crucial government collaborations and partnerships with various state bodies like APSCHE, Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge , Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation , and the Directorate of Skill Development MP .
