Salesforce Australia Achieves IRAP Certification for core SaaS & PaaS Services

Federal and State agencies turn to Salesforce to power their digital transformations and build stronger connections with citizens, employees and government services

SYDNEY — 9 August 2016— Salesforce, the Customer Success Platform and world's #1 CRM company, today announced it has received security certification by the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), which governs and regulates information privacy and security for Australia’s government agencies.

Salesforce received the accreditation through the Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) as part of the ASD’s Certified Cloud Services List (CCSL) for ‘Unclassified DLM’ data, across the following core Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) cloud offerings:
● Sales Cloud
● Service Cloud
● Communities
● Chatter
● Database.com
● Site.com
● Force.com

This accreditation gives Salesforce customers in Australia the additional assurance that its privacy and security program meets the high standards recognised by the ASD.

Salesforce Transforming Citizen Engagement
Many of Australia’s public sector organisations are leveraging Salesforce to digitally transform their agencies and help them build deeper engagements with their citizens and related government stakeholders.

A number of public sector panels have added Salesforce to their list of preferred vendors, including The Department of Finance Cloud Services Panel, NSW Government’s Procure IT and the Queensland Government’s Information Technology Contracting Framework.

Salesforce recently secured the tender as lead technology partner to develop ChildStory, a $100-million IT platform led by NSW Department of Family & Community Services (FaCS) to transform the way child protection is managed in NSW. ChildStory is a collaboration platform which connects the child’s family, carers, caseworkers and service providers.

Salesforce is also the lead technology partner to several state government departments including the Queensland Building and Construction Commission and Service NSW. Salesforce is working with these agencies to deliver critical projects to redefine the government-citizen relationship across multiple touchpoints.

● “Our IRAP accreditation is a testament to our commitment to the success of our customers and the privacy and security of our customers’ data,” said Dan Bognar, Senior Vice President, Salesforce Asia Pacific. “We’re excited to see the level of innovation and digital transformation that is happening in the Australian public sector, and we are proud to be a lead partner on game-changing initiatives that are re-imagining government-citizen engagement.”
