  • Salesforce APIs (REST API, BULK API, SOAP API, META API).
  • Middleware/Integration platforms (MuleSoft Any Point Platform, Jitterbit, Informatica Cloud, Snap Logic, Dell Bhoomi).
  • Third Party App (Available on salesforce AppExchange).
  • Custom Development.

Salesforce to Salesforce Integration Using the Standard Connector:

Here is a detailed guide to setting up Salesforce-to-Salesforce Integration using the Standard Connector. There are four essential aspects you need to set up when working with this standard connector.

1. Enable the Salesforce connector

  • Switch to Salesforce Classic
  • Search for “Salesforce to Salesforce Setting” in quick find box.
  • Enable the feature to activate the Salesforce to Salesforce Connector.

After enabling the feature, you will see a screen similar to the example below.

To enable data sharing between the two orgs, make sure you allow the feature in both the orgs.

2. Establish the Salesforce to Salesforce Connection

  • Create a Contact record in each org, providing a valid Email Address.
  • In the Connections tab, click “New connection” to establish the connection.
  • Set the contact record which you created.
  • Specify the relevant connection Owner on your end and “save and invite”.
  • In Org 2, receive the email invitation and set up the connection record either you can accept or declined the invitation.

(Contact is nothing but your partner org with which we need to connect there will be a contact with the same email id with that contact we will build a connection so in the contact we have email id so to this email id we will get an invitation notifications)

Now that you have successfully created a link between your two Salesforce organizations, the next step is to determine the data to be shared between the two systems and adjust the settings accordingly.

3. Share the Relevant Objects and Fields

Follow these steps to ensure the data settings are applied across both organizations. In this example, we will synchronize the Account and Case records between the two systems. To accomplish this, choose the Account and Case object on the next page and remember to save your updates.

  • In both orgs, go to the connection record you created.
  • Access the Published Objects Related List.

  • Now choose the objects you want to share between the orgs.
  • Save your selection to publish those objects.
  • Ensure the desired fields within the objects are also selected for synchronization.

4.???? Subscribe to the Relevant Objects and Fields

  • Access the connection record of target org created in Step 2.
  • Go to the Subscribed Objects related list and click on Subscribe/Unsubscribe.
  • Check the box next to the objects you want to subscribe.
  • Click Edit next to the Account row and ensure the desired fields are selected (required fields are already populated by default).

To share a record of Account object which you have published go to account tab select the record which you want to share to your partner org and click to this “Forward to Connections” button.
