Salesforce Einstein - Everything About AI Powered Analytics

Imagine being able to equip your CRM or Artificial Intelligence Sales System and that it helps you in your sales or service processes by automating tasks or proposing actions to improve your results. This that in any other system or scenario could seem science fiction - even in 2021-, you have it at your fingertips in Salesforce thanks to Einstein.

Einstein, to advance concepts, bases his name and logo on the famous scientist and it is a group of Salesforce functions oriented to Artificial Intelligence, which offers both out-of-the-box functionalities - predefined - and tools to develop personalized functionalities based on in your needs.

What is Einstein?

Einstein is a set of functionalities offered by Salesforce , which allow integrating algorithms and functionalities based on Artificial Intelligence in our processes or activities. Einstein as such is not considered a Salesforce Cloud as it is cross-sectional capacity available in the major Salesforce clouds as well as the Lightning Platform.

The first and most important thing to avoid confusion is to identify the different ways to use Einstein in Salesforce. It could be said that Einstein can be framed within two large groups:

  • Pre-configured functionalities for specific Salesforce clouds: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing, Community, Commerce and Analytics.
  • Tools available to develop our own functionalities equipped with Artificial Intelligence.

Features of Salesforce Einstein

Although Einstein is about functionalities based on Artificial Intelligence, it does not mean that you have to start learning Machine Learning or hire a team of experts to develop complex data models and algorithms.

Lead Scoring

Salesforce calculates a score of your candidates or leads based on the conversion probabilities, so that you can focus your efforts on those potential clients with more possibilities.

To calculate these scores, Einstein will create a prediction model based on your candidate history and their life cycle, taking into account all their properties, looking for similarities and patterns among other signals.

Automated Contacts

With the automatic capture of Contacts we can let Salesforce identify contacts in our emails and appointments to suggest if we want to add them as account / customer contacts, or add them to the Opportunity teams with a specific function.

Opportunity Score

The concept and operation is similar to that of candidate scoring but applied to opportunities. Einstein will calculate the odds of winning an opportunity based on that customer's history, activities associated with that customer, and similar opportunities that have occurred with other customers.

Opportunity Insights

If we were talking before that Einstein can automatically calculate the probability of winning an opportunity, with the function of prospects it combines this scoring with other relevant suggestions in order to help us close our sales.

Einstein's bots

Later we will talk about Bots or Robots since I do not consider it to be a functionality of Service Cloud, but rather the Einstein platform that is applicable to any business area.

In any case, go ahead, that Salesforce allows you to configure robots that respond and act automatically to requests from our users through digital channels such as a chat.

Einstein Analytics

Although we will not go into details of this functionality now, since it is a more specific area of the BI world than of CRM, I do at least want to tell you about its existence.

Analytics Cloud is the Salesforce cloud for Data Science or Business Intelligence tasks. With the arrival of Einstein to this cloud, Artificial Intelligence functions or advanced data analysis were included, thus increasing its capabilities significantly.

Predictive and Analytical Models

Within the predictive capabilities we find three interesting and powerful options, all of them aimed at anticipating results and optimizing our actions.

The application of Artificial Intelligence to your CRM or business processes, you not only have to see as a logical and forced step to the future, but as an enhancer of the productivity and efficiency of your processes and agents. You surely invest in training, in reorganizations, in systems evolution and many other areas to improve your results. Why not do it in something that will work for you and help your employees automatically?
