Sales training in the art market

I have seen that the market is stuck and there needs to be more of a open discussion about this so here goes let's take the plunge and face the fact that all galleries need to be taught how to sell, in any market a good sales staff should be able to identify quality product that is in line with their clients taste and preferences, even if it has no sales history and then explain to their clients why they should want to but it.
it could be because the item will enhance them emotionally or financially whatever the reason, they identify the potential and then go forward with creating the demand, unfortunately nearly all galleries every don't do this they will only sell guaranteed products this is not sales this is taking someone else's marketing work and making money off it. this is the reason it is so hard to get into a gallery, at the same time the situation is a catch 22 because without a contract with a reputable gallery no collector will look at the possibility of acquiring your artwork. this applies if you have no name recognition outside of the market if you are already known either by being the son of the current sitting president, or a famous movie actor like brad pit then there is nothing blocking your accessing the market. otherwise, you must build the recognition outside of the market and then they will talk to you. i have been working on this path for years now and we have seen success in getting good critical recognition and news coverage. the point is for someone to sell your art there usually has to be creative content, but this is only half the equation, before someone is willing to look at the creative ability, they are blinded by the fact the artist is not well known. it would really benefit all of humanity if we would be able to chance this. thank you for reading I appreciate all who subscribe and take the time to comment. looking forward to expounding on this idea in the next article.
