?? Ohio: Bill Proposes Sales Tax Exemption for Guns and Ammunition Ohio lawmakers are considering a bill to eliminate sales tax on firearms and ammunition, and would provide a tax exemption for any manufacture in the industry to relocate to Ohio. Read more here.

Hartford, VT: Voters Approve Local Sales Tax During Town Meeting Day, Hartford voters decided to move forward implementing a local 1% sales tax, where last year the vote was turned down by only 50 people. New Iberia, LA: Proposed Sales Tax to Boost Firefighter Pay A new 1.4-cent sales tax proposal in New Iberia aims to increase firefighter salaries for the first time in 20 years as their current pay rate is $10.72 per hour which has been unchanged since 2003. Florida: Governor DeSantis Proposes Eliminating Property Taxes Governor Ron DeSantis has floated the idea of eliminating property taxes in Florida, potentially shifting more reliance onto sales tax revenue. This would be the first state to eliminate property tax. People often say you never own your property as you can lose it if you don't pay your property tax.
