Sales with Relation Building
In this fast paced life, We as Managers fail to adhere minor principles of Business in our day to day life.
A similar incident I could recall during a sales visit where I went to meet a client with only objective to get orders from him. The meeting was based on pure negotiation of the product and a price war with other suppliers.
I failed to get that order....
Some time later, I went to the same client, This time not to sell but to make a connection with him. I inquired about his work progress and other general affairs and gave him a quote politely before leaving his office.
The result I received a PO with in a week.
The learning :
When out to sell or propose or even when managing our own team, Its very critial to keep in mind, We are dealing with Humans and they have emotions. It is their these emotions which influence decisions.
Focus and improve your interactions with clients that gives them confidence in your dealings and imprints your positivity even after you leave.
