SALES PITCH VS CONVERSATION
Hi, everyone. I want to share a gold nugget with you today. I'd like to talk about the fact that nobody wants to hear a sales pitch, but they want to have a conversation. The reason this is so important is because this can really help shape your relationships and your businesses future. So let's look at the difference. Sales Pitch: the difference between a sales pitch and a conversation is when you're spewing a sales pitch, you're talking AT somebody, not TO them. In a sales pitch you're saying, hey, you need life insurance, a retirement plan, medical, etc. You go on telling them all the things that you do right, and what they need, this can make people shut down. A sales pitch is more of an informational presentation and it can be something that turns people off if no done correctly.
When you have a conversation with somebody and you listen with both ears, you will hear everything that person needs. So, here's an example, I love to ask people leading questions about their life and ask questions about their families. People enjoy talking about themselves and often will tell me exactly what they need. I learn a lot about people this way. It solidifies a really nice relationship. It also tells us if we are compatible. Also do we have a relationship to build off of when we have this conversation. The other thing is people will tell you what they want their future to look like, what they fear and what their needs are now and in the future.?
