Sales: The EASIEST job in the world! (and the hardest)

You are probably thinking WHAT, this guy doesn't know what he is talking about?!?! Sales is not the easiest job in the world! AND how can it be the easiest and the hardest job in the world at the same time? Who is this guy?

Let me ask you, what other job do you get to adjust your attitude, reset your goals, and refresh your mind and body ALL DAY, EVERYDAY? Now many of you are saying well I can do that in every job, but can you really? Secondly, can you reset all day, every day, and still determine your own path and your own income level? I say the reason sales is the easiest job in the world is because you can get up, start over everyday, and focus on the DOING BASICALLY THE SAME THING, just better than you did it yesterday! Doesn't get much easier than that now does it?

Have I convinced you that sales is the easiest job in the world? Not yet? Why not? What could be easier? You know what you need to do, you know how to do it, right? Oh wait, what's that you say? It's not that easy?

Well, that's ok because now I am going to tell you why Sales is the HARDEST JOB in the world! Are you ready? Sales is the hardest job in the world because you have to focus on getting up, motivating yourself, starting over each time and DOING BASICALLY THE SAME THING everyday! There isn't anyone to help you get motivated, to help you get in there and take 50 "No Thanks, we're not interested" responses (or sometimes worse than that) and yet you still HAVE to keep going because you have targets, bills to pay, trips to take, and a family to support!

AND with all of that, do you know what the best part of this entire rant about sales is? YOU GET TO CHOOSE EVERYDAY! Did you get that? YOU GET TO CHOOSE EVERYDAY!! That's right, you get to choose what kind of day you are going to have! You get to choose if you have the hardest or easiest job! You get to choose your income level EVERYDAY! You get to choose to be happy! As someone famous once said, no matter which you choose, to have a great day or a bad day, you will! If you believe you will have a great day, then you will have a great day, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy!

NOW - I CHALLENGE  you to go out there and CHOOSE to be HAPPY, CHOOSE to be the BEST and CHOOSE to make your customer's lives and businesses better and when you are all done, your customers will ultimately make your life and your business better! Now go out there and live like a shark and don't be afraid of anything, especially a few no's!

Great way to look at it. It does take a lot of inner motivation to make the day good or bad, and lets be honest there are different type of sales...and the hardest is cold calling. You have to capture that persons interest within 10 seconds. But the best part is getting that rude person who thinks they have ruined your day but you know if your heart they are just one less call you have to make.I love sales because there are not too many people who are really good at it...and those that are, we choose to be happy, we choose to determine our destiny.
