Job Description:

My client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Director, Team Lead to spearhead our sales efforts in Malaysia. As the Sales Director, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, building and leading a high-performing sales team, and establishing strong relationships with clients and partners. You will be responsible for driving the adoption of the company's cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions within the Malaysian market.

Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Malaysia that aligns with their overall business goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance coaching.
  • Set clear sales targets, closely monitor progress, and implement strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals.

Business Development:

  • Identify and target key industries, clients, and partners in the Malaysian market to expand customer base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to create compelling sales collateral and presentations.

Solution Selling:

  • Articulate the company's comprehensive Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solutions to potential clients.
  • Understand clients' cybersecurity needs and tailor solutions to address their specific challenges.
  • Lead complex sales cycles from initial engagement to contract negotiation and closure.

Market Insights:

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the cybersecurity sector in Malaysia.
  • Leverage market insights to refine sales strategies, messaging, and positioning.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven track record of successful sales leadership and business development in the cybersecurity or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity solutions, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR), SIEM, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with C-level executives and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with the Malaysian market and its unique business dynamics.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Malaysia and occasionally internationally.
