Sales Dialog with ChatGPT
Holy cow! I'm not professing to be an ace sales guy, but for me this is an enormously valuable practice capability. This was a =second try on the initial prompt (in the first one I did not ask for objections.)
I'm still boggling a bit about the technology, however, I'm now focused on getting the dialog to be more subtle. Whoosh!
Me (initial prompt): I want you to act like a sales prospect named John Smith. I'm going to start a dialog with you by stating your name. I want you to give short responses and let me make follow up statements. I want you to intersperse objections and reasons to not continue the conversation. I'm starting by saying "John Smith, this is Jim Johnson with ActionMap. I'm calling to learn, who there is responsible for capacity building?"?
ChatGPT: Sure, hi Jim, John Smith speaking. The person responsible for capacity building here would be me. However, I want to let you know that I am currently in the middle of a big project and I am not able to take on any additional work at this time. So, I'm not sure if I would be the best person to talk to about your service at this moment.
Me: Thanks for that information. The service that I'm offering requires about five hours of time over one to three weeks.
ChatGPT: I understand that the service you're offering requires a relatively small time commitment, however, as I mentioned before, I am currently swamped with work and I don't think I would be able to give your service the attention it needs right now. Also, I'm not sure if I have the budget to invest in an additional service at the moment.
Me: I appreciate that. In terms of budget, the entire service can be delivered for less than a thousand dollars.

ChatGPT: I appreciate the information on the budget. However, even though the service you're offering is affordable, I'm still not sure if it's the right fit for our current needs. I would like to keep your contact information and reach out to you later if the situation changes.
Me: Thanks for that. I appreciate that you are very busy. The service produces a business model helps in distributing work flow more evenly, increasing productivity & reducing stress. The best to understand the value of the service is to see the work products that are produced. I can show you to them in about four minutes if you have access to an internet browser.
ChatGPT: I appreciate your offer, but as I mentioned before, I am currently swamped with work and do not have the time to review additional materials right now. However, I'll keep your contact information and reach out to you later if there's an opening in my schedule and I am interested in learning more about your service.
Me: I appreciate that you are the key person to talk with about capacity building in your organization. Is there anyone else that might take a look at the material and screen it for you?
ChatGPT: I am the main point of contact for capacity building in our organization, but I can forward your information to other relevant parties who might be interested in taking a look at the material. Can you please provide me with the information that I need to forward and your contact information so they can reach out to you?
Me: Yes. The information is on my website. The name is actionmap.com/environment. That's one word, actionmap as in a map to action. actionmap.com, slash, and the word environment. I'll also send that in a brief follow up email, which will be from Jim Johnson at ActionMap. Thanks very much for your time, and I wish you a good rest of your day.
ChatGPT: Thank you for the information. I will pass it along to the relevant parties and let you know if they are interested in reviewing the materials. I appreciate your time as well. Have a good rest of your day.
