Growing a business is an adventure. To be successful should you focus on sales or customer service? Well, it is easier to sell to satisfied repeat customers than to new customers. So, they are both important and connected. This guide will help you learn how to improve sales of your program AND serve your customers well so they keep coming back.
How to Make More Sales Online
Let's face it, a business NEEDS to make sales because income is what keeps a business running and pays you. So, we can't forget about selling. So, here are the top 7 ways to sell your course or program online.
#1 Use Social Media Ads
The first one is using social media ads, such as Facebook ads. and Google ads. I know you've heard of them. A lot of us are scared of them but it doesn't take a lot to get started. If you can invest even $2 a day $5 per day, you can go ahead and start finding your people. Ads will get you in front of them quickly for your course or your program.

#2 Build an Audience on Social Media
The second way to sell an online program is through social media. If you're not talking about what you're doing on social media, people don't know what you're doing. So if you have a course for sale, it needs to be front and center on your social media. You should be sharing client wins. Make sure to share parts of the things that you teach on social media. You should be letting people know that this is your thing because if they don't know about it, they can't buy it and gain from it.

#3 Speak on Stages or Virtual Events
The third way to sell your programs online is through sponsoring or speaking at a summit. Use somebody else's stage or event to promote your program. This is a great way to get in front of new people. It's somewhere where you would be adding value as either a speaker or a sponsor to somebody else's summit event. In exchange for the opportunity, you can invite them to your program as well.
There are lots of different ins and outs around that a lot of us don't even think of this as a selling strategy. It very well can be heard well from it without ever having to use ads or organic just simply by the relationships that you build with other people who also serve people in your niche who are hosting summits and events and get invited to their stage.
#4 Host Your Own Event
The fourth way that you can sell an online program or course is by hosting your own event. We do this several times a year. We have Course Mastery Live in the spring and Legacy Live in the summer for marketing. There are lots of people out there who would love to know what you teach. They'd love to consume it in a three-day event. At that three-day event, you can invite them to come deeper and to spend more time with you through your course or your program. It's an amazing way to serve your people at a higher level and also invite them to more invite them to purchase your program.

#5 Offer as a Bonus to Someone Else's Program
Way number five is a bonus to somebody else's program. So who do you know that has another program related to yours not the same thing as yours but related to yours and your people would also be interested in that you could promote their program. Right often this is called a joint venture or an affiliate promotion.
You promote their program and anyone who buys through your unique link for your promotion, you would get a commission from that sale or come back from that sale and then you can offer those people your program as a bonus incentive for joining the program that you're promoting. It works really, really well. We do this often a couple of times a year with certain people that we love it from like Jeff Walker and he's part of my formula. It's a really great way to be able to compliment others in your niche and get more of your horse out there as well.

#6 Affiliate Program to Sell an Online Program
There's also your own affiliate sales, you can invite people to be affiliates for you. You could also have people be a joint venture partner for you and essentially do the same thing for you. This is my number six, where you invite them to promote your thing to their people for a commission or a percentage of that sale. It works very, very well.

#7 Launch an Email Campaign
Here's number seven, this is my absolute favorite because it doesn't depend on anyone else. It doesn't depend on their algorithm. It doesn't depend on them sending for you or not sending or what they say or don't say. The best way that I believe to sell your program or your course is to the people who have raised their hands and said, I want you to have what you offer. That is to your email list.
So, the best way that I believe to sell more of your courses is to nurture that relationship with your email list. Keep growing your email list. You're getting in front of people, they'll raise their hand and want to hear about your course or program or when it comes to open again.
If you have an email sequence, you have a template right there where all you have to do is tweak it and be able to put that kind of offer
amazing delivery. Get the transformation they're looking for, get the testimonials and be able to turn around and do it again. It just becomes an amazing system for continuing to grow your business through that list building.

Customer Service versus Customer Experience
When does customer service begin? The truth is that it all begins before they even buy! But, it also extends after the purchase and that is where customer experience comes in. You may think of customer service as answering questions, dealing with billing issues, and delivering your product or program. However, the customer experience is larger than that. If you have a program that isn't selling, you should look at customer experience first. Here are some more tips on selling more online.
Who Buys Coaching Programs
Look at your course or program, look at the content, The deliverables are not as important as the transformation. If you could make a simple path to the transformation, that's really what your people want. People buy programs or services because they need a transformation. Make sure you are giving them one!
That will make them more interested in purchasing your course. You'll sell more of them when you can explain the transformation clearly and simply so that they can see that this is not going to overwhelm me.
Marketing Strategy for Selling Online Courses
As demonstrated above you need to inspire prospective students through your sales copy.?Show visitors that this is how other people's lives have been different because of this program. Demonstrate how this is what's happened when other people have put this same material into practice. Share in your copy how their lives, their businesses, their families, their mental state have changed.?
So, focus on the program and deliverables first, and second focus on the copy.? To fix a program that isn't selling, change the copy so you inspire prospective students. It needs to give them hope. It needs to let them see that this is possible for other people. You need to show them that you are the one who can lead them through to that transformation.
How to Attract More Clients Online
What do past clients have to say about working with you? How can they, bear testimony or bear witness to what you've been able to do either in your own life or with other people? Those things can be pulled in as testimonials as well.
You want to be sure that you're using testimonials in your copy, even if it's one or two. Three is the ideal number to include. But, if all you've got is one or two, then use those one or two.
It's easy to say you can do something. However, people connect more with others' testimony to the transformation they achieved. Now, they can see it and see themselves getting that result. So that's super, super important.
What Do Sales have to Do with Customer Service?
People want to be seen and they want to be heard. They want to be appreciated, not knocked down when they already know they have a problem. That's why they're looking for a solution, they know they have a problem. Your program or service is the answer, let's present that offer in a positive light and make them feel welcome. Make them feel appreciated, make them feel safe, even.?
There are people on the other end of every one of these transactions. Those people need to know that they're important, that they're loved, and that they're cared for. If you can express that in your copy, your curriculum, and the experience (both the marketing experience and the customer experience) I guarantee you, you will sell more.

2 年Both, though I tend to lean toward customer service. But what I like is when someone has a customer service oriented heart even when they are selling and I am not yet a customer, then even if I don’t buy, I will keep them top of mind or refer others to them.
