SALE=REVENUE

SALES = REVENUE

I have some questions for you that I would appreciate if you could answer as honestly as you can, so that you can plan for the remaining three months of 2022 and strategize for this coming new year of 2023:

1. Do you have a sales team?

2. How many times does your sales team train per week?

3. Does your team have sales targets?

4. Are they reaching their sale targets ?

5. Overall as a company are you making a tangible income?

DO YOU HAVE A SALES TEAM?

You see the formula is simple, “sales = revenue”. Without sales, you cannot have any revenue in your organization. However, when I talk about sales I am not just talking about you selling your product or your services, no, sales is far much more. It requires strategy; it requires processes and systems that create a coordinated approach. From prospecting, meeting with the client, closing the deal, and following up with the client even after the deal is sealed.

Furthermore, sales requires people, a team that works towards the attainment of bringing in revenue.

HOW MANY TIMES DOES YOUR SALES TEAM TRAIN PER WEEK?

I always like to give an example of soldiers in the barracks. Have you ever noticed that they are always training even when they are no rumors of war, why because are they supposed to always be ready if war comes?

As a salesperson, it is a prerequisite that you train daily, make it your habit that you buy and watch as many as you can courses that are available on sales training then implement

everything you would have learned into your day-to-day activities.

DOES YOUR TEAM HAVE SALES TARGETS?

You cannot measure performance without you having a yardstick to compare that performance to, targets give a person something to compare themselves to. You see, targets can also work as an evaluation criterion to use at the end of a specific period. Every salesperson needs a target that they can work towards depending on their ability and experience.

ARE THEY REACHING THEIR SALES TARGETS?

Sales is one department that is easy to evaluate people. If someone is failing to reach their targets for example three consecutively months, this simply means that either the set bar is too high for someone to attain or in most cases, the person will simply be not a salesperson.

Sales is not for everyone, it is for those who are hungry, those with the burning desire to make money for the company and for themselves.

OVERALL AS A COMPANY, ARE YOU MAKING A TANGIBLE INCOME?

This is the most important and critical question for today. If you are not making enough revenue one- way or the other, your solution is among the above questions.

Evaluate them, and take time to figure

out how you can address them, also feel free to get in touch with me and I can help you with sales solutions that will help grow you company. Remember, without sale, there will never be revenue.
