Sajwaan Back On Track

Having decided not to run Sajwaan last week and then made a last-minute decision to nearly switch him to run at Chelmsford, we have decided to run at Lingfield on Friday barring any issues before then!?

More on that decision is below.

We had an enjoyable weekend in the Cotswolds and thankfully the racing at Cheltenham beat the frost.?There were a couple of surprise results with Editeur Du Gite beating Edwardstone & Energumene and Ahoy Senor beating Protektorat & Noble Yeats but it was great viewing as always and we really enjoyed our afternoon at the course.

Dynamic Kate

Nothing new to say about Dynamic Kate this week.?She continues to work away at Neil’s gradually building her fitness.?I planned to get down to the yard again this week to see her, but I think I will try to do that next week instead.

She does look like she will be stronger this year and hopefully, that will see her continue her progression of form and I still have shares for sale at ï¿¡351 per 1% share covering to the end of October 2023.

Sajwaan

Sajwaan was coughing last week just before he was due to be declared to run on Friday.?He was checked by the vet who felt that the coughing was only a reaction to cold weather or possibly having picked up some dust from his feed, rather than anything serious.?Whilst it meant that we could have run on Friday, we felt that giving him an extra week to hopefully let whatever was making him cough get completely out of his system would be beneficial.

The cough passed quickly and we entered a 6f race at Lingfield this Friday, but a 5f 0-55 race at Chelmsford on Thursday did not attract many entries and we entered there as well to have a look.

Initially, this was really more in case the Lingfield race ended up being oversubscribed or very competitive, but as time passed the decision got harder as there were pros and cons to both options. I think if he had already got a good run under his belt, we might have plumped for Chelmsford to try the shorter distance, but Lingfield gives us the best chance of a solid run and that was the final decision.?We are hopeful that he will run well.

If you want to come racing on Friday, then there is still time to buy a 1% share at ï¿¡325 covering the whole of 2023.?Costs include the share purchase (with rights to the same share of any future sale) along with all training fees to the end of 2023.?

Installment payments are fine and there are discounts for 5% & 10% purchases.

Winners From Our Stables

Michael Attwater has hit some good form and let's hope that this is a good sign for Sajwaan. The yard was celebrating a winner when Thismydream recorded his first career victory, with a win at Southwell last week. The winning run continued later in the week when Real Estate sat handy just behind the leaders and really got going in the home straight to get to the front and hold off a late challenge.

Neil Mulholland got into the act on Saturday when Cousu Main won his race at Uttoxeter, so it was a good week for both of our trainers.
