SailGP Continues Securing Major Sponsorship Deals

Sail GP has sealed partnerships with two of the world’s biggest brands for its respective categories.?

Just last week, Emirates struck an ambitious five-season global partnership with SailGP, cementing its role as?the exclusive global airline partner of the world’s most thrilling sailing league.

This major collaboration underlines Emirates’ commitment to elevating the sport of sailing, introducing innovations, and engaging fans worldwide. It will also enhance the airline’s global visibility through a strengthened brand presence across SailGP’s Emmy Award-winning broadcasts and events.

As part of the part, the leading global airline will continue its title sponsorship of two marquee events: the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix and the Emirates Great Britain SailGP. These events will remain key fixtures in the SailGP calendar, showcasing the airline’s dedication to supporting premier sports events globally. New broadcast features, including the “Emirates Finish” and “Emirates Fly Time,” will enrich the viewing experience for SailGP’s global audience.

Emirates will also become SailGP’s official umpire partner, working with the league to enhance officiating standards and deliver innovative insights to fans across over 212 broadcast territories. The partnership promises to bring viewers closer to the action, further cementing SailGP’s reputation for blending technology with high-performance sports.

Besides the global partnership, Emirates will continue its sponsorship of the Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team, one of the league’s most successful teams. The airline’s iconic “Fly Better” logo will be prominently displayed on the team’s F50 catamaran, apparel, and equipment, reinforcing its strong connection to the sport.

The partnership extends beyond the races, with Emirates and SailGP teaming up on grassroots programmes as well as hosting guests in the??premium Adrenaline Lounge, strengthening its reputation for delivering world-class hospitality.

Besides Emirates, it has also secured a landmark global logistics partnership with DP World. . The deal will see DP World, a world-leading provider of end-to-end supply chain solutions, become a SailGP global partner and oversee the transport and delivery of SailGP’s annual event calendar, spanning some of the world’s most iconic destinations.

The three-season partnership will kick off at the Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix, presented by P&O Marinas- the opening event of SailGP’s 2025 Season on November 23rd?to 24th?.?

According to ASN data, yachting has seen investment of almost US$18.6m across the Asian sponsorship landscape since Q122, with a quarterly average investment of almost US$1.6m during this period.?

After a quiet first half of 2024, where we had seen investment of a mere US$662k, things returned to the status quo with US$1.7m+ invested in Q324 and our forecast for Q424 looks rosy, expecting an investment of US$2.4m, slightly over 1.5 x. of the usual quarterly average.
