Safran Seats signs new 5-Year Agreement with Aircraft Hardware West

Safran signs a 5 year contract with Aircraft Hardware West (AHW) to provide aerospace hardware and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Services for their Safran Seats North American facilities in the U.S. and Mexico. This agreement also extends to all other Safran business units worldwide including Safran Seats France, Tunisia and China. With established VMI programs with Embraer in Chihuahua, MX, this further builds out AHW’s Mexico operations and strengthens AHW’s presence in the region.

As part of the contract, AHW will implement Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Services for Safran business units in the U.S. and Mexico. The VMI program will support over 4000 part numbers at four different business units. AHW utilizes the Hurst Twin-Bin system which is integrated with full automation into the daily on-site operational services, AHW ERP and Web Portal. This VMI system provides an innovative and holistic approach to the procurement, stocking, replenishment and payment process, delivering at industry leading KPI’s while bringing logistic cost benefits, and minimizing the cost of inventory ownership.
