[?? Press release] The Walloon Region, the Belgian Federal State and Safran inaugurate a new test center — the only one of its kind in Europe — for the aircraft engines of the future

Adrien DOLIMONT, PhD , Minister-President of the Government of Wallonia, and Olivier Andriès , Chief Executive Officer of Safran, inaugurated BeCOVER, a new compressor test center located in Herstal, Province of Liège, Belgium.

This 3,000 sq.m (≈ 32,000 sq.ft) facility is designed to test all types of compressors for the next generations of civil and military aircraft engines. It’s a valuable research tool for validating breakthrough innovations to help us meet the major environmental challenges of the aviation sector.

[?? Press release] Two Safran Executive Committee appointments

Stéphane Cueille is appointed CEO of Safran Aircraft Engines, effective in Q1 2025.

Bruno Bellanger is named CEO of Safran Electrical & Power and joins the Group Executive Committee, effective January 1, 2025. He takes over from Stéphane Cueille.

[?? Press release] Safran launches NAVPULSE, the latest advanced naval position, navigation and timing data distribution system

Responding to growing demand for secure, reliable and resilient position, navigation and timing (PNT) solutions, Safran Electronics & Defense is innovating with the introduction of NAVPULSE.

This advanced naval data distribution unit (DDU) is designed to centralize navigation data from all shipboard sensors and optimize data distribution to users.

This year’s finalists presented their projects and received their awards in a ceremony at the end of Safran Innovation Day.
