[?? Press Release] AI leader Preligens joins Safran? ??

After an exclusive negotiation process that began in June, Preligens — a leader in artificial intelligence (AI) for aerospace and defense — has joined Safran. The acquisition of Preligens was finalized for an enterprise value of €220 million. The company will be renamed Safran.AI and will be attached to Safran Electronics & Defense.

[?? Press Release] Safran to acquire Component Repair Technologies in order to expand its MRO network

Safran Aircraft Engines announced the contemplated acquisition of the American company CRT (Component Repair Technologies), a world leader in the repair of aircraft engine parts, based in Mentor, Ohio. CRT, which has over 450 employees, is specialized in the repair of large parts (cases, rotating parts) for the CFM56, LEAP and large turbofan engines.?

[?? Press Release] HAL selects SAFHAL Helicopter? Engines to develop and produce Aravalli engines for powering India’s IMRH and DBMRH platforms

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and SAFHAL Helicopter Engines Pvt. Ltd. (SAFHAL) have signed an airframer contract to commence joint design, development, manufacture, supply, and support of a new-generation high- power engine named Aravalli for the 13-ton Medium Lift class, Indian Multi-Role Helicopter (IMRH) and the Deck-Based Multi-Role Helicopter (DBMRH).

?? CFM International, the joint venture between Safran and GE Aerospace, is celebrating its 50th anniversary

50 years ago, Gerhard Neumann of GE and René Ravaud of SNECMA signed the agreement that formally established CFM International (CFM) International as a 50/50 joint company.

Safran helps Moroccan girls pursue their education

??Safran signed an agreement as part of a coalition of corporate patrons to support NGO En route pour l’école, alongside ADP, BMCI, BNP and the Béatrice Sch?nberg Foundation. The aim of the initiative is to build a boarding house so that girls from villages in the Asni Valley, in the High Atlas Mountains, can go on to secondary education. Asni suffered severe damage in the September 2023 earthquake.

In addition, Safran and the Moroccan Food Bank announced the launch of a program to support three rural boarding houses (known locally as Dar Taliba) to enable girls to continue their education after elementary school. Around 200 girls from three different schools will receive a grant to cover their boarding fees for five years.
