Safilo “abbandona” la valle in cui è nata ma i dipendenti dello stabilimento di Longarone non avranno conseguenze

Questa mattina sia Thélios che Safilo hanno inviato le loro dichiarazioni ufficiali riguardanti la chiusura lo stabilimento di Longarone.

Facendo seguito alla comunicazione della Società del 29 settembre 2023, Safilo annuncia la stipula, avvenuta in data odierna, degli atti di cessione dei due rami d’azienda relativi allo stabilimento di Longarone rispettivamente a Thélios SpA e Innovatek Srl.

“Abbiamo lavorato con determinazione per raggiungere questa intesa che, come auspicato, garantirà la piena occupazione di tutti i lavoratori del sito produttivo di Longarone, consentendo la continuità dell’attuale know how settoriale – commenta Angelo Trocchia, Amministratore Delegato di Safilo Group. – Nonostante la situazione complessa, grazie al supporto fattivo della Regione Veneto e delle organizzazioni sindacali, siamo riusciti insieme a Thélios e Innovatek a creare le condizioni per il miglior esito possibile”.

Thélios, società eyewear del gruppo LVMH, annuncia di aver completato le procedure per l’acquisizione da Safilo Group dello stabilimento di Longarone (BL) e per l’ingresso di 247 lavoratori nel proprio organico. L’operazione, che consentirà di consolidare la leadership di Thélios nell’occhialeria di lusso, si è concretizzata grazie alla collaborazione fattiva con l’Unità di crisi della Regione Veneto, le Rappresentanze Sindacali e l’approvazione dell’operazione da parte dei lavoratori coinvolti nella transazione. L’accordo, che segue l’acquisizione di Metallart nel luglio 2022, conferma la volontà di Thélios di continuare a investire nel Made in Italy, uno degli asset strategici aziendali. Thélios potrà così ampliare ulteriormente il reparto dedicato alla lavorazione del metallo per la produzione di occhiali da sole e da vista per le Maison del Gruppo LVMH, valorizzando l’artigianalità italiana e preservando il know-how distintivo del distretto bellunese. L’acquisizione dello stabilimento Safilo di Longarone, contiguo alla Manifattura Thélios, consentirà la nascita di un campus in cui i due stabilimenti produttivi saranno strettamente collegati in sinergie operative e industriali. A regime, Thélios darà occupazione ai 247 lavoratori assorbiti, che si aggiungeranno agli attuali oltre 1000 dipendenti sul territorio.

Following the Company's communication of 29th September 2023, Safilo announces the signing, today, of the deeds of sale of the two business units related to the Longarone plant to Thélios SpA and Innovatek Srl respectively.

Thélios, eyewear company of the LVMH Group, announces that it has completed the procedures for the acquisition from Safilo Group of the Longarone (BL) plant and for the entry of 247 workers into its workforce. The transaction, which will allow Thélios to consolidate its leadership in luxury eyewear, has been realised thanks to the active collaboration with the Crisis Unit of the Veneto Region, the Trade Union Representatives and the approval of the transaction by the workers involved. The agreement, which follows the acquisition of Metallart in July 2022, confirms Thélios' desire to continue investing in Made in Italy, one of the company's strategic assets. Thélios will thus be able to further expand the department dedicated to metalworking for the production of sunglasses and eyewear for the Maisons of the LVMH Group, enhancing Italian craftsmanship and preserving the distinctive know-how of the Belluno district. The acquisition of the Safilo plant in Longarone, adjacent to the Thélios factory, will allow the creation of a campus in which the two production plants will be closely linked in operational and industrial synergies. When fully operational, Thélios will employ the 247 workers absorbed, who will be added to the current more than 1,000 employees in the area.
