LEAN ORP 2024: OSH INNOVATION IN THE DIGITAL AGE
ICYMI the theme for the current European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) Healthy Workplaces Campaign is "Safe and healthy work in the digital age 2023-2025". The International ORP Foundation (an international, independent and non-profit organization dedicated to improvement in the quality of worklife and innovation of companies and entities) has been selected as Official Campaign Partner for the Healthy Workplaces Campaign.

The risks and opportunities of digitalisation for prevention as well as mental health and wellbeing will be at the core of presentations and discussions by leading experts from international organisations, business and science at the upcoming LEAN ORP 2024: OSH INNOVATION IN THE DIGITAL AGE from 3-5 July at the World Trade Center in Barcelona.

The darker side of safety tech
IOSH magazine recently published this article with the title in BOLD ALL CAPS.
"AMAZON FRANCE LOGISTIQUE FINED €32M OVER ‘EXCESSIVELY INTRUSIVE’ SYSTEM FOR MONITORING EMPLOYEES"
I don't know the history or the context but I do know there is a dark side to #SafetyTech which those of us in the field combat with an approach we call "Responsible Innovation". Remember the EU-OSHA Healthy Workplaces Campaign mentioned at the top of this Issue of SafetyTech News??? Well one of the key topics explored in the campaign is all about worker monitoring - check out their guidance here:
If you are exploring SafetyTech - make sure you have a strategy and make sure you underpin that strategy with responsible innovation practices that include ethics and privacy considerations. Please and thank you.
