How Important is Community Impact to You??
This past month, the SafetyLine blog posted a recap on its successful “Embrace the Spirit of Giving” campaign that was held last December. This annual holiday endeavor resulted in significant donations to four nonprofits that were randomly drawn from hundreds of submissions made by readers, subscribers and SafetyLine users. If you’ve read the list of the organizations who were drawn, you will see that they range in size as well as type of services provided to the communities they support. This was very important to us because when we started this annual campaign in 2019, our goal was to help support different types of nonprofits to make a greater impact on our communities.??
It’s part of Tsunami Solutions (our parent company) and SafetyLine’s priority and commitment to make a positive imprint on where we live and work. Nonprofits are helping make this positive impact, benefitting everyone in every part of society. Many of these organizations are struggling and need our support but their aspirations and goals are incredibly positive – the National Council of Nonprofits says it best when they state, “Charitable nonprofits embody the best of America. They provide a way for people to work together for the common good, transforming shared beliefs and hopes into action. They give shape to our boldest dreams, highest ideals, and noblest causes.”?
There is research that supports the efficacy of how these organizations benefit our communities and many nonprofits use SafetyLine to protect their employees. But maybe most importantly, this commitment is also aligned with the SafetyLine product and service itself of protecting people while they do their jobs so they can go home safely at the end of the day. How important is community impact to your job and organization? How essential is community involvement and engagement to your work and industry???
