This month’s safety article is on the topic of Risk Assessment.?Safety’s role in the organization is to have tools that identify errors or problems in the operation and fix the underlying systemic causal factors. So what is the purpose of Risk Assessment? RA is used to assess the likelihood that the problem will be realized and how bad the outcome could be. The more serious the problem, the sooner it gets attention and mitigation.
