Safety - How Refreshing to Walk the Talk

Yesterday our City Council once again approved several safety enhancements put forward by our own employees. You see, our City has established a safety reserve for our WCB rebates. Our employees, not our management,  sit on a committee that reviews safety enhancement requests that are submitted and vote on those that meet our policy guidelines. The committee approved requests go to Council for final approval and within weeks our employee see the tangible results of this collective effort of everyone working together to "walk the talk" when it comes to employee safety. A safety program belongs to the employees, the boots on the ground and it is nice to work for an organization that gets it.
