SafeSmart Stories: Celebrating the Sentient Side of Safety Success, Worldwide - 2023

'Tis the season for end-of-the-year stories! And at here SafeSmart? we're excited to unwrap tales that go beyond safety manuals and access solutions. This holiday season, join us in celebrating the human element of safety – the stories of triumphs, lessons learned, and the incredible individuals who made safety more than just a checklist this past year.

?? "Less weight handled = Less injury."

Thank you for all you do

Meet Chris, a project manager at Construction Health and Safety NZ (CHASNZ) whose commitment to safety goes far beyond his role. By fostering open communication and a culture of accountability, Chris has turned safety practices into second nature. The project "Work Should Not Hurt" is pushing NZ safety standards forward, showcasing the power of leadership in creating a safety-centric environment. Great work Chris! We sure look forward to more to come.

?? The Ultimate Goal: No Injuries

The Los Angeles Chargers practice facility in El Segundo, CA.

In American Football, no injuries would be amazing. In the bustling world of construction, it is a goal not always met. In this compelling story, safety heroes have emerged in an unexpected place where these worlds crossed paths. Explore the story of the Chargers Practice Facility , where site technicians remind us that safety is a collective effort, and every team member plays a crucial role.

The flag signifies completion. The tree means not a single worker was injured during construction.

Congrats to PCL Construction and their team in accomplishing this wonderful achievement. Please tag the team members individually in the comments, we would love to give them their flowers, like Chris Ritter & Mike Headrick . Great job all!

?? Lessons Learned, and Changes Made

Recycling is not just about appearing to go green, it's about keeping trash in a "usefulness cycle."

Implementing change to environmental challenges can be difficult in the new world, where sometimes, change doesn't even seem slow. It seems completely unmotivated. That is not the case here. Dive into a story where members of our team faced-forward to the challenge, not only by embracing the lessons learned in adapting their safety strategies, but also by following the inner calling of their better human nature. Not only have they overcome obstacles, but they are setting a new standard for our industry. Congrats to all the team of SafeSmart Access NZ for implementing the WrapCircle, an inspiration for everyone hoping to make the world a better place. You all are DOING it!
