Safe + Sound Week 2024 Steps Up Effective Job Hazard Analysis
Occupational Safety and Health Administration
Helping employers protect worker safety and health since 1971. OSHA is an agency of the U.S. Department of Labor.
All workers deserve a safe workplace. Are you doing any of the following?
·?????? Starting your safety and health program
·?????? Focusing on continuous improvement
·?????? Looking to recognize your successes
If so, we want YOU to join us for Safe + Sound Week — a nationwide event held each August that recognizes the successes of workplace health and safety programs and offers information and ideas on how to keep America's workers safe.
Participating in Safe + Sound Week is not just about workplace safety; it’s about proactively identifying and managing workplace hazards before an injury or illness occurs. Participation is easy and fun! We provide free and customizable materials. You will receive a certificate for participating and put your business on our online map. Registration opens in July!
This year’s Safe + Sound Week focuses on the hunt for hazards. We’re providing resources for businesses on job hazard analysis, or JHA, to help you identify and control unrecognized hazards, as well as hazards that might emerge when a new process or piece of equipment is introduced.
This ongoing process to identify and assess hazards and hazardous situations is a critical part of any effective safety and health program. To learn more, read our recent blog post on Safe + Sound Week 2024 and the hunt for hazards.
