Safe Landing - November Newsletter
Safe Landing
Aviation workers for a sustainable future. Together we change course towards a safe landing.
Safe Landing has been at the forefront of the conversation around sustainable aviation policy this month. We were featured in The Guardian, Euronews, and on Ireland’s Newstalk Radio, discussing the potential impact of a ‘Frequent Flying Levy’ in Europe.
Therefore we were excited to receive an Expert Talk from Dr. Alex Chapman of the New Economics Foundation (NEF), who guided us through the recently published study on this levy. The findings reveal significant potential benefits for both emissions reduction and social equity.?
On Thursday, 14th November, Dr. Chapman lead us through the study’s methodology and explored the policy’s feasibility in the EU. Watch the recording here: https://safe-landing.org/expert-talk-nef
