The sadness of greed in football

In this day and age I never thought I would be so disappointed by the sport I love. It is the topic of the day unfortunately, the European Super League. The so called BIG 6 in the Premier League and other European teams such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, Inter and AC Milan and Juventus.
The above are the 12 founding members of this league. Lets break this down. Manchester United have won the league 13 times with their last title in the 12/13 season. Chelsea are next with 5 titles with their last title in the 16/17 season. Manchester City, probably the proof of money rules have won 4 titles and looking likely to win their 5th. Arsenal have 3 and last won the title way back in the 03/04 season. Liverpool have won just 1 league title and look to be the worst champions defence for a "Big 6". Tottenham haven't won a trophy since 2008, came 3rd in what seemed like a 2 horse race when Leicester City won the league and currently sit 5 points out of the Champions League spots.
I am a fan of football and have enjoyed the different competitions, unfortunately I don't get to see my team in the Champions League as I am a West Ham United fan however, the first time we break in to the top 4 the big 6 want to create their own league, coincidence? I believe football is there for the fans to enjoy and while it is a business it is also a game. Money has ruined the game massively, it is more predictable these days but there are still those upsets such as Leeds beating Man City, West Ham coming back from 3 - 0 down away to Tottenham with a 94th minute equaliser, Leicester City winning the league. What these teams are doing is taking away the competition.
I believe if you want to be the best, you've got to beat the best. If the best create their own league how can you claim to be the best in the country? It is also saddening that they are using the pandemic as an excuse to condone this behaviour. I understand it is the owners who are driving this but something needs to be done.
