The Sad Beige barometer is rising... Two beige influencers Sydney Nicole Gifford and Alyssa Sheil could be heading to court with a first-of-its-kind-who-copied-who lawsuit that will determine, once and for all, who has Ultimate Beige Supremacy. ?
Up till now it has been possible to laugh at?Sad Beige.
But even official "sad beige comedian" Hayley DeRoche (13m on TikTok) may be scratching her head at this latest development, with Gifford accusing Alyssa of replicating "the neutral, beige and cream aesthetic of [her] brand identity".
The cult of beige is in full effect...

The TikTok satirist, Hayley DeRoche, named the parents who want a life without colour as the "sad beige mums". Some may laugh, but there's as many parents who will happily admit that they swap the garish colours of childhood for beige-on-beige. Early adopters included Kim Kardashian and her $60m "minimal monastry" and explainers include that people are creating these neutral zones to escape the chaos of the world...

Who knew this colour could become so controversial?
Influencer and content creator Sydney Nicole Gifford is suing Alyssa Sheil over the colour beige. Or as Gifford puts it, for “replicat[ing] the neutral, beige and cream aesthetic of [her] brand identity,” and imitating her “outfits, poses, hairstyles, makeup, and voice.”
