Triple Espresso:
Be willing to make a sacrifice.
Are you still reading?
Most don't like the concept, much less the behavior, of making sacrifices. This is true individually, in your country, and in the world.
When you sacrifice something you enjoy, even if it's small, it not only develops willpower but also sends a powerful message to your unconscious as well as the universe at large (call it God), that you're serious about what you're doing.
It takes a certain amount of conscious awareness and development to sacrifice a desire. It takes evolving beyond the animal drive.
Most of what we "want" is driven by our lower animal nature: food, drink, and pleasure; and to subjugate those lower wants to a higher order of needs takes being an adult.
Amateurs follow their every want. Pro's know how to discipline their wants and sacrifice for something greater.
To transmute desire into aspiration is a higher order of behavior.
Delayed gratification is one of the primary qualities of ultimate-performing entrepreneurs and leaders.
Many spiritual traditions tell you to "be in the now" or "at the moment."?
Not so fast.
Being in the now is what creates teenage pregnancy and alcoholism, and a whole host of other destructive behavior.
Being in the now is what allows you to overspend and run your credit card debt sky-high.
Desire and "now" is what caused the real estate crises and crash in 2008. As well as the complete nonsense bailout that left all Americans with a load of debt.

If you're one of my international followers, forgive me for the US reference, yet the same is true in your country as well.
IF we would have been willing to sacrifice, we may have been in a very different place right now than the $19,844,938,940,351.37 national debt which equates to approximately $61K per American.
Not household mind you. Per Person!
As is the macro so is the micro.?
Let's remember, that the original translation of "sacrifice" is "to make sacred."
In the Judeo-Christian tradition, the prophet Abraham was even willing to sacrifice his own son. That's intense. That's commitment.
Maybe YOU can pass on the pizza, the margaritas, your whiny little ego needs, sleep, cushy lazy comforts, new shoes, golf, football weekends, vacations, trips to the beach or some other small thing by comparison to Abrahams' courage.
Maybe you can sacrifice some of these mundane things that get you nowhere in the long run, have the ROI of drinking seawater (which just makes you MORE thirsty), on the altar of your purpose; and pay the price of your own redemption.
You WILL sacrifice regardless.
You will sacrifice your authenticity and honor and a life of purpose.
Or you'll develop the discipline to sacrifice your small ego needs for something that leaves your own personal legacy.
Either way, sacrifice you will.
What will you choose?
