Sachin Tendulkar Builds An Off Pitch Partnership; Invests in IoT Startup, Smartron.

Sachin once said "Every individual has his own style, his own way of presenting himself on and off the field." 
But there is one thing very common on and off the field with the master blaster and that is the ability to fully utilize a situation. Be it a bad ball or a booming Internet century, this master has always been a blaster.

Tendulkar has just made his investment in "technology startup" debut by investing in an Internet Of Things (IoT) startup called Startron recently for which he will also be a brand ambassador.

This move comes close on the heels of  fellow sportsmen, Olympics winner Abhinav Bindra launching a startup fund and Yuvraj Singh investing in Rahul Yadav’s startup Intelligent Interfaces under his venture firm, Youwecan.

Smartron, an Internet of Things company, which builds a host of internet connected devices for consumers and enterprises has roped in a star for a percentage of stake. Founded in August 2014, the company says it will launch its products in the first quarter of the upcoming FY17.

Commenting on the association, Sachin said, “I have always been fascinated by technology. Smartron’s founding vision for the need for a robust product ecosystem in the country to grow is very impressive. We need to support brands that are “designed and engineered in India” by our Entrepreneurs and Engineers that ably compete in the global markets. I look forward to being part of the growth journey of Smartron buoyed by tremendous growth opportunities offered by IoT worldwide.”

Other that these some other startups in which Sachin is involved are Smaaash Entertainment, Kochi Franchise, Indian Super League | Sports League, Musafir a Travel portal, Universal Collectabilia a Celebrity Merchandise firm, Mumbai Franchise in an International Tennis Premier Sports League.

Note-Smarton being the first technology startup of which he will be a brand ambassador too.
