What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

International Women's Day reminds me that we still have a way to go on the road to equality and equity of men and women. This is also shown to me by the example of Iran, where girls and women in the 21st century are denied access to education and women are no longer allowed to study all subjects.?But not only in Iran do we face discrimination of women, discrimination also remains an issue here in Germany. Among other things, this is shown in unequal payment, promotion, and career development. Together with my team, we would like to set ourselves specific, measurable DEI targets at DCS. The topic of gender and equal rights for women will play a central role here. Among other things, we want to increase the proportion of women in lead positions.

Why are diverse teams important?

In a lot of scientific studies, it was proven that diverse teams make better and smarter decisions and are also more successful from an economic perspective. Why is it like this? Diverse teams can better empathize with the needs of different customers and target groups and can thus take better socio-economic decisions and actions. Different perspectives can also bring in more innovation in problem solving. So, diversity in teams and high performance often go hand-in-hand. At DCS, we value the diversity of different nationalities, cultural backgrounds as well as gender and age. This is what makes us successful.

What would DCS look like if there were no women working here?

Without women at DCS, something would be missing. We have great, committed women who shape and form the DCS culture in a special way through their work, attitude, and behavior. I would not want to miss any of them.
