The Sabbath Day of Rest
Yvonne C. Freeman
I'm a Bible Christian. An author, poet and song writer posting poetry from my books inspired by the written word of God
"Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake. I pray the Lord my soul to take." - Anonymous
Saturday the Sabbath Day. A day of rest, no work no play. It's the day we worship God as written in his Holy Bible. The sacred day God blessed and set aside for all of his servants who obey his commandments.
"But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." - Luke 11:28
People take comfort in what's familiar. The religious beliefs they are accustom to when taught as a child is learned behavior from their parents carried over into adulthood. They don't read what the Lord had written in the Holy Bible centuries ago. Instead they follow man-made traditions not found in the bible. Can you read what you believe?
You are responsible for your own salvation. Read the bible for yourself don't rely on the opinions of anyone else. Man can't get you into Heaven only God can. Play it safe just in case. Read what God had written for your edification.
Embrace the word of God that ye may be comforted in times of trouble. Live by the word of God and you shall be protected on your journey in this universe. Obedience unto God's word as written in his Holy Bible is your key to the kingdom.
"Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him." - Proverbs 30:5

4 年Observe the Sabbath, because it is holy to you. Whoever does any work on that day must be cut off from his people (Exodus 31:14). For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord (Exodus 31:15).
