SAB at the Plato Week #14, Prague

The Plato Week #14 is being held this week in Prague, Czech Republic. The scientific workshop is jointly organised by the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the Astronomical Institute of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague.

The hybrid (onsite and online) workshop is open to the PLATO consortium members. The international participants group is formed mainly of the scientists who are responsible for the PLATO mission goals, data acquisition, processing and evaluation. Also representatives of ESA also presented the overall project status. The expected number of participants is 250.

The venue of the workshop is located at the Charles University picturesque building, Karolinum (established in 1348), located directly in the historical center of Prague.

SAB Aersopace s.r.o. also had the opportunity to present the Czech contribution to the mission to the participants. The Service Module of the PLATO spacecraft design and delivery is being the responsibility of SAB Aerospace s.r.o., as well as the design and delivery of the pressurized Camera Transport Containers for protection of the 26 large cameras during terrestrial transport.
