"Saatchi Art", World's Leading Online Art Gallery, Advertises Color Artwork by Lahary and Fellow Artists on CNN

Lahary is known to many on LinkedIn as the owner of ArtFaire.us and curator of "Fine Black & White Photographica" auctions on LiveAuctioneers. Yet unknown to most LinkedIn patrons is Lahary's personal accomplishments as an individual visual artist across multiple important series of works completed in color film, pastels and independent cinema. One such series of color works, "Proven?al", is currently being gradually rolled out and announced by the artist on Saatchi Art. Saatchi Art is The World's Leading Online Art Gallery & represents 1.4 million original artworks by 94,ooo artists in 110 countries.?

The singular work of Lahary's that has been picked by Saatchi here is titled "Palette of Arles",?created in the city of Arles in the south of France. Lahary made the series, from which this image is a part of, in the neighborhood Vincent van Gogh resided in. And it is the lead image within the advertising cluster independently designed by Saatchi Art that includes a small number of other hand-picked fellow artists, also represented by Saatchi Art.

The image at left is a merged look of two-separate vertical adverts that have appeared on different days and times.. each with Lahary's 'Palette of Arles' as the lead image in the ad block of varied artists per ad. The ad campaign has been running day and night since December 1, 2022 on CNN online in a sidebar advertising space inside the CNN Politics page. An array of unrelated adverts by other companies rotate in and out of the same CNN sidebar, including brands such as Tiffany's, Saks 5th Ave, waterfront real estate, Infinity luxury cars etc.

In that the advertisement is running on the CNN Politics page, it is noteworthy to mention most of this page is devoted to the hot, high stakes Georgia senate runoff election that's in progress which finalizes Tuesday, December 6. And because this race is so high profile, the Saatchi ad has been running side by side (inadvertently) with prominently featured alternating photographs and stories on President Biden, President Obama and Raphael Warnock, plus video interviews by CNN news anchor Erin Burnett and more. As the viewer scrolls the main content remains the focus while the advertisement may change position. Yet in each case "The Palette of Arles" remains the lead image among other changing images.

Saatchi Art became a prestigious online art presence as an extension of the pre-eminent UK based brick and mortar institution of Saatchi Gallery. Although referred to as a gallery, it's imposing architectural structure with Roman columns resembles a magnificent statehouse that stands as a juggernaut compared to common gallery storefronts. Since 1985, Saatchi Gallery has presented contemporary art exhibitions showcasing the work of emerging artists. Exhibitions which drew upon the collection of Charles Saatchi, led to Saatchi Gallery becoming a recognised authority in contemporary art globally. The Gallery acquired a reputation for introducing artists who would later gain worldwide recognition.?

It's 1985 roster included individuals such as Andy Warhol, Cy Twombly, Richard Serra, Frank Stella, Jeff Koons & more, while also sponsoring the Young British Artists (YBAs), including Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin. Saatchi Art emanates from and reflects the heralded values and celebration of artists rights established earlier by Saatchi Gallery. In 2019 Saatchi Gallery became a registered charity and began a new chapter in its history. The Saatchi Gallery is located in the UK in Duke of York's HQ, King's Road. Charles Saatchi was an Iraqi-British businessman and the co-founder of the worlds largest advertising agency, Saatchi and Saatchi, in the 1980's prior to both Saatchi Gallery and later Saatchi Art. His spouse was Nigella Lawson, noted food writer, television chef & domestic goddess. {More about Saatchi Gallery can be found at saatchigallery.com}.

Lahary is just beginning to methodically mount his series "Proven?al" onto Saatchi Art. He produced it in three different regions of the South of France {Arles, Marseille & Rousillon}. "Palette Of Arles" is a geometric, abstract architectural image of a facade in Arles, France, captured in the neighborhood resided in by van Gogh. This work of art vividly depicts the vernacular architecture of old world French towns dating back to Roman rule. Yet even moreso, it reflects the world renown Light of Proven?e..famous for the inspiration of not only van Gogh, but also Matisse, Gauguin and the Impressionists; and was home to mythical figures such as Nostradamus, Cézanne and the Marquis DeSade.?

"ROUSILLON" (C) 2004 BY LAHARY; 20 X 24" 35MM PIGMENT PRINT (ARTISTS RIGHTS SOCIETY, NEW YORK)

The same alluring atmospheric light which served as a magnet to the great painters of Europe is equally potent in illuminating the original pigmented natural colors of these rare prints. According to a gallery review by Ms. Donna Lynn Friedson, noted New York City art professor & historian: "This series from the South of France by Lahary Pittman is exceptionally striking and unforgettable. At first glance his richly textured, bold, predominantly geometric abstractions appear as though they are paintings. Upon closer observation of his images, one realizes they are photographs of architectural details. The artist clearly has an acute eye for capturing original compositions full of luminous color. The symmetry of his verticals breaking horizontal planes are deep intimate studies of a truly personal nature".
