So, You Think You Can Travel?

So, You Think You Can Travel?

Ahh, sweet summertime. We know it, we love it, and I don’t know about you but I missed it!?

One of my favorite things to do during the warmer months is (other than playing baseball, duh) travel. And lately, I’ve gotten the chance to do both. But more on where I’ve been later.?

Right now, we need to talk about the current situation of traveling. Long story short, your expectations may need to be kicked down a few notches. Why? Disruptions a’plenty. Just today over 10,000 flights are delayed .

Let’s find out how to navigate traveling this summer. You’ll find out how to make the best out of any vacation (even staycations). I’ve been researching, taking notes from my own travels and am finally getting the chance to share them with all of you!

So, you think you can travel? Let’s really find out.

Flying? You’ll Get There Eventually

Some say you can count on two things in life, and we know what they are. But this summer, you can count on flight delays, too.?

Air Canada, in a recent statement, has gone as far as to apologize in advance for disruptions.?

So, my one piece of advice is: expect the worst. Plan for missing a flight or experiencing a delay, give yourself extra time (and grace!) and settle in your seat once you get there.

Speaking of, what is your favorite seat on the plane? See how yours compares to others (and what people had to say) in our recent LinkedIn poll sponsored by Emerge !

Poll results with the window seat ranked first.

Staycations are Better Than You Think

During quarantine, we did the whole stay-at-home vacation thing. We camped in our backyards and made at-home bowling alleys. So you might be a little over it. But there are some huge perks to staying closer to home.?

  • You’ll save money on things like food and gas
  • Naturally support your local economy and businesses
  • Reduce your carbon footprint by using less fuel

What’s the best part about your city? My favorite things about Toronto are the diversity, historic architecture and the most mouth-watering food spots.
