Ryze Power Supports Germany's €18.9B Hydrogen Network Development

Germany's landmark approval of the 9,040-kilometer "Wasserstoff-Kernnetz" marks a pivotal moment in Europe's energy transition. At Ryze, as enablers of clean energy solutions, we're committed to supporting the development and integration of hydrogen technologies that will contribute to this revolutionary infrastructure.

Turning Infrastructure into Industrial Reality

The Wasserstoff-Kernnetz's success will depend on practical deployment expertise and industry collaboration. Our experience in hydrogen applications has demonstrated the potential for significant operational and environmental improvements across industrial applications. Through careful implementation and monitoring, we're working with partners to optimise system integration and accelerate deployment timelines across multiple sectors.

Leading Multi-Sector Implementation

Our strategic partnerships highlight the growing potential of hydrogen technology across diverse industries. In aviation, our collaboration with ZeroAvia supports their development of hydrogen-powered flight, contributing to aviation's sustainable future. We're working on practical solutions for refuelling protocols and infrastructure integration.

The heavy transport sector shows promising developments, including our partnership with Scania. Together, we're exploring hydrogen solutions for long-haul logistics, focusing on range optimisation and efficient refuelling capabilities. These initiatives aim to demonstrate hydrogen's commercial viability in heavy transport applications.

Ryze offer affordable hydrogen distribution and hydrogen infrastructure for commercial vehicles. You may well have seen our fleet of tube trailers on the road delivering clean hydrogen our customers.

Manufacturing and Industrial Innovation

Ryze offer affordable hydrogen distribution and hydrogen infrastructure for commercial vehicles. We are already involved in a number of projects including a low-carbon hydrogen production and dispensing facility, with accompanying hydrogen refuelling facilities, in Bradford.

We are also collaborating with Vauxhall Motors Ltd. to create hydrogen solutions for fleet operators, empowering businesses to integrate hydrogen vehicles seamlessly. Refuel options include on-site solutions or designated facilities. Our collaboration with Vauxhall is a key element in their comprehensive hydrogen strategy, aimed at establishing a practical and widespread hydrogen refuelling infrastructure for fleet operations throughout the UK.

Of particular significance is our work with Glass Futures in addressing one of industry's most challenging decarbonisation obstacles: high-temperature processes. Glass manufacturing, representing approximately 2% of industrial CO2 emissions according to the International Energy Agency, requires sustained temperatures above 1,500°C - traditionally achieved through fossil fuel combustion. The glass sector alone produces around 95 million tonnes of CO2 annually in Europe, according to the European Container Glass Federation.

This partnership with Glass Futures investigates how hydrogen can decarbonise these essential high-temperature processes. The potential impact extends far beyond glass manufacturing - similar high-temperature processes are crucial in steel, cement, and chemical production, which together account for approximately 20% of global industrial emissions according to the IEA. Through this work, we're helping to establish practical frameworks for industrial hydrogen adoption and integration, particularly in hard-to-abate sectors where electrification alone may not be sufficient for deep decarbonisation.

These partnerships are helping to establish practical frameworks for industrial hydrogen adoption and integration.

Accelerating Market Development

The Bundesnetzagentur's strategy to convert 60% of existing natural gas infrastructure provides a strong foundation for market growth. We're focused on supporting end-user implementation through careful development of safety protocols and integration guidelines. This practical experience becomes increasingly valuable as Germany targets 10 GW of green hydrogen capacity by 2030.

European Leadership Through Industry Collaboration

Our involvement in hydrogen projects across multiple sectors has provided valuable insights into deployment optimisation, system integration, and operational reliability. These learnings position us to contribute meaningfully to Germany's ambitious infrastructure plans.

From Network to Industrial Reality

The Wasserstoff-Kernnetz provides the essential backbone for Germany's hydrogen future. Success will require close collaboration between infrastructure providers, technology companies, and end-users. Our experience in hydrogen solutions across multiple sectors, combined with our understanding of safety and integration requirements, enables us to support this transition effectively.

As Germany embarks on this transformative journey, Ryze stands ready to contribute to its success. Our focus on practical implementation, supported by ongoing collaboration with industry partners, makes us a valuable participant in the developing hydrogen ecosystem.
