Ryusei Yamanaka makes a comeback at Mugello to claim his first GP podium
The MT Helmets-MSi team continues its impressive podium streak. Since the season started in Qatar, there have been seven Grand Prix, and at least one MT Rider has climbed onto the podium at each event.
Ryusei Yamanaka is the latest rider to step onto the podium with his MT KRE+. The Japanese racer achieved his first-ever podium finish at the Italian Grand Prix, cheered on by a massive crowd of over 150,000 fans at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello.
The Japanese rider?staged a remarkable comeback, crossing the finish line in third place after starting from the 13th position on the grid. Undoubtedly, this is Yamanaka’s best season in the World Championship, having come close to the podium in Austin and Jerez, where he finished fourth.
His teammate, Iván Ortolá, was very close to achieving his second consecutive podium. Following a second-place finish in Barcelona last week, the #48 rider contended for the victory throughout the race, consistently holding a front-running position.
Unfortunately, a crash in the final corners of the race knocked him out of podium contention. However, the MT Rider managed to quickly recover and crossed the finish line in sixth place.
Moto2 | García finishes fourth and maintains his lead in the class?
Following his victory in Le Mans and a second-place finish in Barcelona, Sergio García achieved a commendable fourth place finish at Mugello. The Spaniard earned 13 valuable points, maintaining his championship lead for the third consecutive GP.
Despite experiencing traction issues during the race, García once again proved that he is not only fast but also smart and consistent, staying at the front of every Moto2 race. Out of the seven held so far, his worst result was a sixth place (Portugal); in all other races, he has either been on the podium or finished fourth.
Daniel Mu?oz continues to learn, finishing in 22nd place in his third World Championship appearance, just two-tenths of a second behind his teammate. The young rider, coming from the European Moto2 Championship, is showing excellent adaptation to the demands of the World Championship.

Next stop: Dutch GP in Assen?
Following the successes achieved by the MT Helmets-MSi during the first third of the season, the championship will now have a three-week break. The MotoGP World Championship will take a breather before landing in the Netherlands, where the MT Riders will return to action on June 28, 29, and 30 at the legendary Assen circuit.

?This is an incredible feeling. I remember all the tough moments I've overcome to get here. Today, I really enjoyed being on the bike. It was a great race and I felt strong from the start of the weekend. Qualifying wasn't easy, but I managed to make a good comeback in the race and made it to the podium. I'm very happy! Thanks to my entire team for helping me achieve this?.

?I didn't get a good start and that made the race a bit more complicated from the beginning. Additionally, we suffered from traction problems and I never really felt comfortable at any point, so we can say that this fourth place is a good result. Now, it's time to look forward to Assen?.
