Rx for Resilience: Appreciation
We want to express our tremendous appreciation of all the people, in person and from afar, who contributed to our Ten Year Anniversary celebration event this past week.?From the students, the business professionals, the funders, the colleges, the K-12 districts, and all of the many leaders in GlobalMindED , we are grateful for you.?The teamwork and the interdependent trust of all who generously gave their time is a true inspiration and is our rocket fuel for the next decade and beyond.?Most importantly, the experience of this week reminds all of us that our nation and our world can be a encouraging space which - despite our differences- is fertile ground for all to thrive.
While everyone deserves their own shout out, there are a few people on our team who went above and beyond and have done so tirelessly for years.
Saule Aliyeva , our Conference Director, began with us in 2015 and has faithfully helped us grow our work with her dedication, talent and attention to detail over time.
Celeste Gardner, our VP of Academic Affairs, has bravely navigated several of the most difficult roles of event planning and execution, managing everything from our newsletter to the Inclusive Leader Awards to the details of the student-going conference experience and the mentor program.?
Dr. Paula Hopkins led across our leadership circles - our Board, our Executive Leaders and our Colorado-based leadership with twelve hour days and weekends for the past eight months.?
Joan Hornig , Chair of GlobalMindED’s Executive Leadership Council, has hosted numerous special events in New York City and has donated proceeds from her Empowerment Tools for Women jewelry line to GlobalMindED.?
Our presenting sponsors - El Pomar Foundation , ETS and Morgan Stanley -made this a year to remember and provide the foundation of support for our growth and impact.
